Local Amenities

Lady Bay
Set in the very pleasant West Bridgford district of Lady Bay, which is an active and friendly community with its  own distinct identity.  Lady Bay offers its own pharmacy, post office (with atm), florist, pub and café as well as an excellent chippy and a good range of corner stores selling fresh fruit and veg and the general basics.  Bordered by the River Trent, the Grantham canal and open fields which were once part of the Trent’s regular flood plain, some say that Lady Bay was known in the past as Bread and Lard island, although it seems that wider West Bridgford also lays claim to that soubriquet!

West Bridgford
The thriving centre of West Bridgford is a pleasant 15 minute stroll away with many superb independent shops, restaurants, café-bars and a fortnightly farmers’ market.

The Totally Locally West Bridgford website is a great new idea (October 2011) which celebrates the independent traders and service providers of every sort who give West Bridgford its character and make it a magnet for people from all over Nottingham who enjoy the personal touch as well as excellent value in all their dealings.
