Getting here
Please click on the location pin on the map to find directions to our house from your departure point. When you get here, it is useful to know that the numbering on our street is a little idiosyncratic as there are no 30s, so be careful not to overshoot!
BICYCLE: Cycling from most parts of the surrounding area is easy and largely flat and attractive cycle routes along canal and river bring you safely to Lady Bay from many parts of the city.
BUS: The nearest bus stop is a mere one minute walk away at the top of our road. The no 11 bus between Lady Bay and Nottingham city centre (via train station) provides an excellent service (every 10 minutes throughout the daytime, aprox 1/2 hourly in the evenings). By bus, we are about 20 minutes from the city centre and connecting buses to many other locations may be met either at Trent Bridge or in the city.
The L2 LocalLink (Silverdale, Clifton, Ruddington, West Bridgford to Gamston) bus which runs aprox hourly during the daytime is also accessed from our nearest bus stop, while on Radcliffe Rd, just 8 minutes walk away, stops for many more buses are available to surrounding villages such as Radcliffe, Bingham and the Vale of Belvoir as well as to Grantham and Newark.
TRAIN: We are about 15 minutes by bus (No 11) from the train station or 10 minutes by car/taxi. Being located in the heart of the country, Nottingham has excellent connections in all directions.
CAR: Parking is on-street and not usually difficult to find. We ask visitors to please remember that this is a quiet family neighbourhood and to park with the utmost consideration for neighbouring residents, especially in the evenings. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
NB: for ART CLASSES:
Our studios are located in the garden behind the house – students enter through the side gate, via the lean-to utility room and down the garden path.
