Garden Themed Quick Makes!

NEW special Garden themed pottery Quick Makes @ Lady Bay Open Gardens

PRICE: Just £12 for a one hour workshop
NB – this price includes firing once the pieces are dry – Fran will not fire the kiln until there is a reasonable amount of work to fill it so  you will need to talk to her during the session about when you will need to get in touch again to arrange to collect your finished pieces.

DURATION, DATES AND TIMES: These workshops will be of no more than one hour duration and you can choose to book:
either  30 June or 1 July at

either 2 pm, 3.15 pm or 4.30 pm

Please arrive promptly in order to ensure that subsequent workshops can run smoothly.

Using super quick rolled clay (slab) techniques and working in un-glazed terracotta, Fran will lead you in making one plant label and one super-simple cane topper each.  Due to time constraints, these short workshops will not allow as much scope for exploring your own ideas as we would usually encourage, but they will be a fun taster session and the price includes the single firing which will take place some time in the weeks following the workshop.  Please ensure that your pieces are clearly initialled and talk to Fran about when you should arrange to collect the pieces after firing.

Please note: due to the vastly increased number of students coming through the pottery in recent times, Fran cannot promise to contact each student when work has been fired and will rely on you to get in touch with her to arrange collection of your work.  If work is uncollected 3 months or more after firing it is likely to be disposed of, simply because there is not room in the workshop for the storage of a lot of unclaimed work.  To avoid disappointment always talk to Fran about when you should get in touch to enquire about collection. It is also advisable to make sure that your work is easily identifiable by initialling it clearly and photographing it – you will be surprised how many people don’t recognise their own pots!
