Fun Mugs and Jugs

Date: 15th October 2011, 10am – 4pm (inc lunch break)
Price: £50 (all materials and biscuit firing included – glazing and glost firing will incur an extra charge)

In this one-day workshop you will create at least one mug and one jug in a day by the slab building technique – you will be amazed by the variety of shapes that you can create with a flat piece of clay!

Pots will be decorated with textures and with contrasting coloured clay and will be biscuit fired and ready for collection within 2-4 weeks.  As these are pots for use, you may want to book extra time to glaze your work at a later date – if we can get a group date to do this that will keep the costs down, but if necessary we can arrange dates individually.  Alternatively you may choose a glaze in advance and for a small extra cost I can apply it for you myself.  Once glazed, pots need to be refired and collected at a later date.  (Please note that of the images in the gallery below some are glazed and some are biscuit fired only)

All our advertised workshops take place here at our Seymour Road Studios in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

All our workshops are focussed on learning in a relaxed and friendly environment and are suitable for both beginners and those who have prior experience in pottery making. We always aim to support each student’s individual progress at their own pace and to ensure that an enjoyable and productive time is had by all.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or to reserve your place.
