These sessions are suitable for: complete beginners to more advanced students – as we keep class numbers to a maximum of 8 people, we are able to ensure that participants are given more individual attention than they might expect in larger groups. Our classes are open to anyone aged 16 + or to young people aged 12+ if accompanied by a participating adult, the most significant criteria for joining us being an enthusiastic willingness to get stuck in and have a go.
What to bring with you: All basic materials and equipment are provided here so the most important thing to bring with you to these workshops is an open mind and a readiness to explore ideas playfully. Feel free to bring in photos, newspaper cuttings, print-outs, drawings, materials etc that interest you and we will discuss together what it is about these that please you and that you might like to translate into your work.
NB for pottery classes, all materials and biscuit firing are included in the price. Glazing and glost firing, should they be required, may be arranged with Fran for an extra cost.
CLASS SIZE Class numbers are min 3 / max 8 participants. Should your preferred class not have enough participants to run we will of course offer you the opportunity to swap sessions if you choose or to refund any pre-paid class fees in full. Please see our booking policy page for further information. Please also check out our studio practicalities page before booking.
Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions (please write your email address carefully and include your phone number in the message section. Thank you).
