Workshops generally take place here in our own small studios but these may not meet the needs of all – please read our studio practicalities page before booking.  We can also work in a venue of your choosing (eg for larger groups or groups whose needs cannot be met in our studios).

NB for all privately arranged pottery activities, a first or biscuit firing of pots is usually included in the quoted price for one-off pottery workshops.  Glazing and re-firing where required will incur an extra cost and generally either an extra session booked for participants to carry this out in their choice of glazes or Fran may be booked to glaze on the participants’ behalf, usually only in clear transparent glaze for all the group.

POT COLLECTION: please note that due to the vastly increased number of students coming through the pottery in recent times, Fran cannot promise to contact each student when work has been fired and will rely on you to get in touch with her to arrange collection of your work.  If work is uncollected 3 months or more after firing it may be disposed of, simply because there is not room in the workshop for the storage of a lot of unclaimed work.  To avoid disappointment always talk to Fran about when you should get in touch to enquire about collection and make a diary note to do so.  Please also make sure that your work is easily identifiable by initialling and dating it clearly and photographing it – you will be surprised how many people don’t recognise their own pots!
